As Tyndall AFB personnel, retirees, and dependents return to base, there are now modified entry access gates and hours:

– Airey Gate: Remains OPEN 24/7 for access to the South side of the installation (for access to the BX, gym, etc.)

– Tyndall School Gate (accessed through Tyndall Elementary Drive): Tyndall School Gate will be open Monday-Friday from the hours of 0630 to 0830 for ONLY DoD ID card, CAC/Tyndall DBIDS card holders

Additionally for those requiring access to the North side of the installation (flightline, AOC, etc.)

– Tyndall Gate: OPEN 24/7 for access to the North side of the installation.

– Louisiana North Gate: OPEN 7 days/week, 0630-1700 for ONLY DoD ID card/CAC/Tyndall DBIDS card holders

Finally, for contractors, visitors, etc., requiring access

– Pass and Registration/Visitor Control Center: OPEN Monday-Saturday, 0800-1200 and 1300-1700

– Commercial Vehicle Search Gate: OPEN 7 days/week, 0600-1700

– Sabre Gate: Open from 0600 to 2200 daily. Only the housing areas will be accessible through this gate. All Housing area residents, moving companies, BBC workers, construction workers, etc., will use the Sabre Gate if trying to get to the housing area of base. You will not be required to show identification and oversized vehicles will not be required to be searched. Individuals can come and go as required during the gate hours. If you need to access the south side main base or north side main base, you will be required to show a DOD ID, CAC, or Tyndall DBIDS card and enter through Airey or Tyndall Gate.

Commissary: Welcome back DeCA patrons! We have changed our days/hours operation. We are now OPEN 1000-1700 hours everyday, but we are now CLOSED on FRIDAYS.

AAFES: As we continue to serve our customers, below are the hours of operation and location for our services:

NOTE: We are currently in the process of repairing all of our Food Court activities. In the interim, various Food Truck options open from 1030-1300 in the front of the BX that you can visit for lunch

Logistics Readiness Squadron

NOTE: Traditional dorm rooms are not available. All available dorm rooms now used for contingency housing

NOTE: There are no on base Military Family Houses at this time. If you require on base lodging, please check in at the PERSCO/Lodging tent next to the Base Support Center parking lot (Bldg 662)

Communications Squadron

Medical Group

MDG operations are in flux as recovery efforts continue; however, below is what is open and available to our customers:

– Medical Group Acute Care Clinic (Bldg 1465A): 0730-1800 – walk in only for active duty and Tyndall recovery personnel

– Mental Health (Bldg. 1309): 0730 – 1630 – walk in only for active duty

– Satellite Pharmacy: CLOSED

– Dental Clinic (Bldg 1465): CLOSED

NOTE:

– Pharmacy (Bldg 1465 Main Clinic): 0800-1500 for all DoD ID card holders for new and refill prescriptions (Must do in person ONLY – the refill line is not operational)

Tyndall’s pharmacy is reopening. Monday, 10 Dec, the pharmacy will open up to all DoD ID card holders on and off base. Below are some details to help you and your Airmen use our services:

Hours (All Dates): 0800-1500

Location (All Dates): Main Clinic, Bldg. 1465

Who Can Access: 
10 December – ALL DoD ID card holders, on and off base

Types of Prescriptions (All Dates): 
New and refills – in-person only. The refill phone line and e-scripts program are not working. Members can bring paper prescriptions from an off-base provider or they can bring their current bottle/package to the pharmacy to get the prescription filled. If a member is given a new prescription from a Tyndall provider, they will not have to bring anything to the pharmacy.

The pharmacy is still building stock levels and have about 1/3 of the pharmacy staff. Please expect long lines/wait times and plan for 4 days for refills to be available. If an existing prescription needs to be transferred to our pharmacy from somewhere else, it may take longer than 4 days to get it filled.
