The term Commercial Sponsorship is military terminology, unique to the Department of Defense and is used to identify a program known in the civilian business community as Event Marketing or Special Events Sponsorships. A Department of Defense policy gives the Force Support Squadron permission to seek Commercial Sponsorship of base events, programs, and activities. Business and corporate entities can access the desirable and lucrative military market through sponsorship of FSS events at Tyndall Air Force Base in exchange for public relations, advertising, and merchandising opportunities. Please note that gifts, donations, or contributions are not under the Commercial Sponsorship umbrella and, therefore, will not receive the same public recognition.

Our Market

Simply stated our market is the men, women, husbands, wives, fathers, mothers and sons and daughters who serve our country. They buy, sell, trade and contribute close to $30 billion annually to the consumption of goods and services. They are one of the most financially stable market segments in the country which can translate into greater brand recognition and product loyalty. The profile of our average active duty military member and family would include disposable income, a good credit history, two cars, some type of recreational pursuit, and local community involvement. Approximately 70% of the households have two or more major credit cards, bank accounts, and invest in stocks and bonds. This is the market you would be tapping into… don’t miss your chance! Locally, Tyndall Air Force Base has an economic impact of more than $570 million for Bay County.
