The Tyndall education office provides educational opportunities and counseling services to all Air Force members assigned to Tyndall AFB; active duty personnel, DoD civilian employees, adult family members, and military retirees. We are here to provide personal and professional development through offering education and training opportunities directed at producing Airmen who possess the necessary skills, knowledge, experience, and motivation to lead and execute the full scope of Air Force missions. There are three on base colleges offering both undergraduate and graduate programs.
On Base Programs
Gulf Coast State College
Conveniently located on Tyndall Air Force Base off U.S. Highway 98, we offer more than 30 general education courses each semester. You can take occupational training classes for an Associate in Science degree, or general education courses for an Associate in Arts degree which prepares you to transfer into a bachelor’s degree program at Gulf Coast State College or another Florida university. Certificate programs are also available at GCSC’s Tyndall AFB satellite campus, and we now offer closed broadcast courses on secure side of base. Our office also houses a National Testing Center for DoD personnel who qualify to sit for CLEP/DANTES and PearsonVue exams.
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU)
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University-Worldwide is known for more than just world-class aviation and aerospace programs. ERAU offers Associate, Bachelor, and Master degree options ranging from Project Management to Engineering. ERAU currently offers 15 bachelor’s degrees, and 20 master’s degrees. With Embry-Riddle’s flexible degree delivery methods include courses in a classroom, webcam based learning, and online it’s easy to get started on earning your degree. Terms are offered every month and each term is 9 weeks in length.

Troy University (TROY)
TROY offers programs designed for students with diverse educational backgrounds and varying work schedules. Programs at Tyndall include: Bachelor of Science degree in Management; Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Resources and Technology Management; and Master of Science degrees in Counseling and Psychology, Human Resources Management and Management.
The Schools operate on five 9 week terms and many intensive weekend classes are offered. Additional courses are offered at the Panama City campus, located at 527 Airport Road, approximately 10 miles from Tyndall.
