Offering a 24-hour Guest Reception area for those arriving, passing through, or departing. The Sand Dollar Inn can fill temporary or long-term needs with over 500 rooms, including 52 Temporary Living Facilities for families and some pet friendly units. We not only provide lodging for those on orders, Tyndall AFB is a primer destination for vacationers and their families with proper authority to use the facilities.

Tyndall Air Force Base is houses two of the most pristine beaches on the Gulf Coast with Crooked Island and Tyndall Beach. With premier shopping and entertainment less than 30 miles away at Pier Park in Panama City Beach, Tyndall AFB can be your affordable vacation package.

Before obtaining temporary lodging in the community, contact the lodging office at (850) 283-4211. Reservations for those on orders can be made at any time, but Space Available reservations will be made if rooms are available.

You may also mail your reservation in by writing the Tyndall Lodging Office, P.O. Box 40040, Tyndall AFB FL 32403-5000. Use our online reservation form or fax it to (850) 283-4800 or DSN 523-4800. Distinguished visitors, colonels and above, should make reservations through the 325th Fighter Wing protocol office by calling (850) 283-2800 Monday - Friday during business hours.

Directions to Tyndall Air Force Base from International Airport (ECP):

State Highway 388, proceed for approximately 8 miles. Turn Right onto State Road 77 South through
Lynn Haven. Turn Left onto Hwy 98 East to Tyndall AFB, approximately 33 miles total.

Directions to Tyndall Air Force Base from I-10 Tallahassee:

Driving west on I-10 from Tallahassee, take US-231 south to Highway 98. Turn left and proceed
approximately 15 miles to Tyndall. Approximately 127 miles.

Directions to Tyndall Air Force Base from Pensacola:

Driving east from Pensacola, take US-98E for approximately 115 miles to Tyndall, AFB.
